Through the dairy barn and to the adjacent fields

Interested consumers can take a look behind the scenes of the organic dairy farm "Bühlerhof" in Murr on Sunday, June 26, as part of the state's "Transparent Production" campaign.

A group of cows in a barn, some with brown and white markings, are eating fresh green grass. The cows are standing closely to each other, focused on their feed, with a few looking directly at the camera.

This year, Bühlerhof, a dairy farm with offspring, grain and fodder production, potatoes and field vegetables and a farm store, is celebrating a special anniversary: it has been farmed organically in accordance with Demeter guidelines for 40 years. Visitors can take a guided tour with the experienced farm managers through the dairy barn and the adjacent fields. After the farm tour, participants can enjoy a light snack and chat with each other. The tour starts at 2.30 pm and lasts around two hours.

The farm is located at Hohenhartweg 14 in 71711 Murr. Interested parties should register by Friday, June 24 at the latest by calling the Agriculture Department of the Ludwigsburg District Office on 07141 144 2700 or 07141 144 44935. The number of participants is limited.

The program with information on all the farm openings offered this year is available online at www.ludwigsburg.landwirtschaft-bw.de.
