Direct trips every two hours on Advent weekends: With the Strohgäubahn to Stuttgart for a shopping tour and Christmas market

On this year's Advent weekends (29.11., 06.12., 13.12. and 20.12.), the Strohgäubahn will continue from Korntal to Stuttgart Central Station. Every two hours, the trains from the Strohgäu will run through to the state capital. This is made possible by an additional order placed by the Strohgäubahn special-purpose association with Württembergische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (WEG).

The trains that run through to Stuttgart start every two hours between 10:01 and 20:01 (i.e. 10:01, 12:01, 14:01, 16:01, 18:01 and 20:01) in Heimerdingen and stop at all stations on the Strohgäubahn as far as Korntal. Between Korntal and Stuttgart main station (above), these trains run in both directions without any further stops.

The return journey from Stuttgart in the direction of Heimerdingen also takes place every two hours between 11:16 and 21:16. Due to construction work at weekends, the departure times vary from day to day. The exact times can be found in the online information media of the VVS or the DB. Regarding the number of departure tracks at Stuttgart main station, the Zweckverband Strohgäubahn and the Württembergische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft ask passengers to observe the information in the online media and the departure boards on site.

The rest of the Strohgäubahn timetable between Korntal and Heimerdingen will remain unchanged on Advent Saturdays.

Travel on the trains is possible with all valid VVS, BW-Tarif or Deutschlandtarif tickets.

The Zweckverband Strohgäubahn and the Württembergische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft look forward to welcoming as many passengers as possible to the special trips.
