German-Israeli school group as ambassadors of togetherness

A German-Israeli group of students from Emek Hahula High School and Alfred Amann High School in Bönnigheim recently visited the district administration office. Head of Department Andreas Eschbach welcomed the students to the district office.

Zwei Fahnen wehen im Wind: eine mit dem Davidstern und eine in Schwarz-Gelb, die das Wappen zeigt. Im Hintergrund sind bunte Herbstblätter zu sehen.

25-year partnership

Eschbach said at the reception: "I am convinced that each and every one of you will take something valuable away with you from these days - new impressions, new thoughts and perhaps also friendships that will last beyond your stay." According to Eschbach, the young people are ambassadors of togetherness, understanding and hope. He is delighted that Emek Hahula High School recently signed another school partnership with District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier during a visit by a delegation from the district, which will enable even more young people from both countries to take part in a school exchange.

The pupils and accompanying teachers also signed the district's guest book, watched a film about the district and received a small gift from the district.

In addition to the visit to the district administration office, the program also included a visit to the Pädagogisch-Kulturelles Zentrum (PKC) Freudental, excursions to Heidelberg, the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart and an ice hockey match with the Bietigheim Steelers.

School partnership has existed for 15 years

The district of Ludwigsburg has maintained a friendship with the Upper Galilee for more than 40 years, which led to an official partnership in 1997. The school partnership between Alfred-Amann-Gymnasium Bönnigheim and Emek-Hahula High School in the Upper Galilee has been in existence for 15 years. At that time it was the fourth school partnership, and recently the sixth partnership - between the Emek-Hahula High School and the Helene-Lange-Gymnasium Markgröningen - was concluded.
