Well over 100 training companies, educational and advisory services will be present at individual and group stands on the website. "That's over 100 concrete prospects at a time when many things don't seem so certain," write the organizers. "The online bam shows how stable and efficient the economy and social structures in the Ludwigsburg district are." They address the young people directly: "You have reliable opportunities here to start your professional future."
Behind the bam are various institutions that jointly take on the task of bringing together the supply and demand for training places in the district: the district administration office, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), the district craftsmen's association, the employment agency, the state education authority and the non-profit bam association.
What took place in the Forum am Schlosspark in previous years is now taking place on the Internet: at www.online-bam.de, interested young people can search specifically for the right apprenticeship position: A powerful search engine makes it possible to search for occupational fields, professions, companies or locations. Anyone who already has an idea of which profession might be right for them can quickly compare suitable offers.
But there are also good offers for young people who are still looking for guidance: The online tools of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Employment Agency are available, training advisors from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce can be contacted by telephone on six days, and training ambassadors provide insights into their diverse professions in online events. And of course you can also stroll through the numerous virtual exhibition stands - almost like a real exhibition hall.
Particularly important: there are several opportunities at each stand to make direct personal contact with knowledgeable people. Often a direct chat is offered, i.e. a kind of written conversation. If you really want to talk, you will find telephone numbers. There are of course e-mail and postal addresses for further inquiries. All of these channels can be used to clarify questions and discuss options - including direct applications for a specific apprenticeship or internship.
"We also recommend online-bam to all parents, siblings, friends and acquaintances who support young people in their career choices," write the organizers. "Here you will find real and concrete information and contacts on an attractive platform for two weeks. Use these opportunities together with the young people, chat, write, make phone calls and take concrete, successful steps in real life from online-bam!"
