District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier welcomed Omri Hajaj Nitzan, Head of the Community Department of the Upper Galilee Regional Administration, on behalf of the entire delegation and welcomed the friends from Israel. "The visit of our friends from the Upper Galilee is an important step towards strengthening our partnership and providing new impetus for cooperation," explained District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.
At the start of the meeting, Omri Hajaj Nitzan addressed the district councillors with impressive words. He described the current situation in the Upper Galilee, which is characterized by the challenges of daily bombing and drone attacks, but also by the hope of reconstruction. "My colleagues in this delegation and I are confident that the Galilee will once again become a prosperous, peaceful and growing region," emphasized Nitzan. He also reported that people are now able to return to their communities.
His friendship with the Ludwigsburg district was a great help during this difficult time. "I would like to take this opportunity to express how grateful we are for this partnership and we hope that we can continue to strengthen and deepen it."
Professional exchange between the regions: "Learning from each other together"
The aim of the delegation trip is a professional exchange under the motto "Learning from each other together". The delegation's work focuses on the areas of (extracurricular) education, social work and the exchange of experiences between mayors. In line with the guests' specialist focus areas, the program includes visits to Karlshöhe, Schule am Favoritepark and Kleeblattpflegeheime, as well as getting to know the municipalities involved in the mayoral exchange.
Together with mayors from the Ludwigsburg region, including Simone Lehnert (Ingersheim), Albrecht Dautel (Bönnigheim), Christian Eiberger (Asperg) and Markus Kleemann (Oberstenfeld), a varied program of visits was arranged.
During the course of their stay in the Ludwigsburg district, the delegation will also take part in the foundation celebration to mark the 40th anniversary of the PKC Freudental.
