Gut exhibition at the Marstall Ludwigsburg on September 13, 2025

Anyone who has always wanted to know what the bowel looks like from the inside - and wants to do something for their own health at the same time - has the opportunity this week: on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., doctors from the district administration's health department will guide interested members of the public through an eight-metre-long walk-through bowel, which depicts various bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease, polyps, bowel cancer and normal mucous membranes. In addition to exciting insights, there will be tips on prevention, personal discussions with experts and valuable information on preventing bowel cancer.

A detailed, life-sized model of the human intestines, showing curved and textured surfaces. The passage includes enlarged sections representing various parts of the digestive system, designed for educational purposes. Soft lighting enhances the model's visibility, creating an immersive experience of human anatomy.

From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., those affected by the ILCO self-help group (abbreviation for the ileum and colon sections of the intestine) will also be available for discussions, regardless of whether they have questions about bowel cancer or an artificial bowel outlet.

In a bowel quiz, participants can obtain information about the bowel and take part in a prize draw. The prize draws will take place twice - at 1 pm and 6 pm. The first prize is a Center voucher worth 50 euros, the second prize is a drinking bottle. These will be raffled off twice to attendees.

The event is supported by Marstall Ludwigsburg, ECE Marketplaces GmbH & Co KG and AOK - Die Gesundheitskasse Ludwigsburg-Rems-Murr.
