So that all affected citizens can be warned promptly and reliably

The district of Ludwigsburg has commissioned a draft concept for nationwide siren alerting as part of the federal government's siren funding program. The results of the draft concept are now available.

The basis for the commission was the desire for uniform siren planning for the entire district and to support the municipalities in their planning of a local siren network. The aim of implementing the draft concept is to ensure that all affected citizens can be warned promptly and reliably in the event of acute danger.

After analyzing the local conditions, taking into account the topography and existing sirens, a sound propagation forecast of possible siren locations was drawn up for each municipality. The district has passed on the sound reports to the municipalities as a basis for planning a comprehensive siren network.

"Civil protection is more important than ever. That's why I'm delighted that we can support the local authorities in civil protection with the draft concept," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier
