Corona: Further development of case and contact person management - investigations will focus on larger outbreaks and particularly vulnerable groups in future

In future, the health authorities' case and contact person management for coronavirus infections will focus on larger outbreaks and the protection of particularly vulnerable groups, for example in retirement and nursing homes, according to the state. This means that in future, all infected people will be informed by post about their quarantine period. The date of the swab test will be set as the start of the quarantine period. Every infected person has the opportunity to complete a self-disclosure questionnaire via the link Self-disclosure_questionnaire_for_sars-COV-2-infected.pdf (landkreis-ludwigsburg.de) on the district's homepage and send it to the health department by email.

The non-vaccinated or non-recovered domestic contact persons of the infected persons must immediately go into isolation for ten days in accordance with the Corona Ordinance on Isolation as soon as they have learned of the positive PCR or rapid test result. They will no longer receive a separate notification from the public health department.

Detailed telephone investigations will continue to take place in the event of major outbreaks. Employees of the public health department will continue to identify contact persons and discuss the measures to be taken on site, particularly in retirement and nursing homes, facilities for the disabled, kindergartens and schools.

With the further development of case and contact person management, the state would like to relieve the burden on the health authorities, which have other tasks in addition to infection control. This will allow the health authorities to focus even more than before on larger outbreaks and vulnerable groups of people.
