Technisches Hilfswerk delivers further protective material - Four vehicles drive to 120 stations

The helpers from the Ludwigsburg branch of the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) delivered protective material these days. The helpers drove to a total of 120 stations in the Ludwigsburg district with four vehicles.

A person wearing a mask receives a container from a caregiver outside the entrance of a building labeled "Breitwiesenhaus." The setting appears to be a health or community service facility, with a pathway and greenery visible.

The Breitwiesenhaus in Gerlingen was also supplied.

These included nursing homes, outpatient care services, physiotherapy facilities, dentists and other facilities such as youth welfare institutions. A total of 2,890 FFP2 masks, 65,280 face masks, 1,220 pairs of protective goggles, almost 1,000 protective gowns and 13,900 disposable gloves were delivered.

The delivery again consisted of material ordered by the district itself and material provided by the State Ministry of Social Affairs.

In total, the THW helpers have spent around 675 hours and 2,300 kilometers delivering the protective material in the Ludwigsburg district. "I would like to say a big thank you for this - the delivery of protective material is a particularly important task during the coronavirus crisis," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.
