Citizens can get involved in the sustainable mobility of tomorrow in their district Public participation events offer the opportunity to help shape the district's climate mobility plan

Work on the climate mobility plan for the district of Ludwigsburg has been underway since fall 2022. In May 2023, citizens from all municipalities in the district will now be asked to contribute their suggestions at public community forums.

Since the end of last year, the district of Ludwigsburg has been working together with representatives from local authorities and regional transport companies, as well as other experts, on the goals and measures for the district-wide climate mobility plan. The aim of this plan is to reduceCO2 emissions in the transport sector by at least 55 percent by 2030 compared to 2010. The climate mobility plan is to be presented to the district council for approval in summer 2024. Once the climate mobility plan has been successfully drawn up, the towns and municipalities in the district will be able to claim a so-called "climate bonus" in the form of an increased funding quota when financing projects in the transport sector.

In May, the results to date will be discussed with the public at four events in the district. Here, citizens will have the opportunity to comment on the goals and measures in small groups and contribute their own perspectives. The suggestions and proposals will then be examined and incorporated into the further development of the plan.

The participation events will take place on the following dates:

May 17 at the Möglingen community center

May 22 at the Remseck am Neckar town hall

May 24 at the Kulturhaus Sachsenheim

May 25 in the Bürgersaal Murr

All municipalities in the district have been divided into four community groups for the participation events. A central participation event will be held in each community group. Interested citizens are asked to visit www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de/klimamobilitaetsplan-veranstaltungen to find out which of the events is taking place in their community group. Each community group offers individual points of contact with the traffic measures presented.

All community forums will take place from 18:00 to 21:00. Admission is at 17:30 in each case.

Please register informally for participation by sending an email to nachhaltige-mobilitaet[at]landkreis-ludwigsburg.de, stating the date of the event. It is intended that each interested person attends only one of the four community forums.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the events: A large turnout is encouraged.
