The diversity of the works is what makes the Werkschau #8 so special. The works differ not only in their themes, but also in their artistic realization. The six artists work with very different means to achieve an increase in artistic expression. The works are worth a close look, as subtle color values contrast with works of luminous color strength, spontaneous gestures encounter hesitant traces of lines. All exhibited works are for sale.
As an additional event, a charity fundraiser by Bietigheim sculptor Dieter Kränzlein will take place as part of the exhibition opening. Individually carved squares of Moos shell limestone will be on sale for 390 euros each. 100 euros from the proceeds will go to the aufwind e.V. association. The association aufwind e.V. Bunter Kreis Ludwigsburg supports families who have found themselves in an emergency situation due to the extremely premature birth or serious illness of a child. The reliefs can be purchased until December 6 at the Citizens' Information Desk in the Ludwigsburg District Hall.
Two further events will take place next week as part of the exhibition: An art tour with the artists will be offered on Monday, December 2, at 6 pm. The meeting point for the art tour is the citizens' information desk in the foyer. A reading by the painter and poet Norbert Sternmut entitled "Wortbilder - Sprachschatten" will take place on Thursday, December 5, at 7.30 pm within the exhibition.
The exhibition can be seen in the Kreishaus, Hindenburgstraße 40. All those interested in art are welcome to attend the opening on Thursday, November 28, at 7 p.m. in the foyer of the Kreishaus. Sabine Schäfer-Gold, board member of the Verein Künstler der Filder e.V., will introduce the exhibition. Solo guitarist Barbara Gräsle will provide musical accompaniment for the evening. The exhibition can be seen during the usual opening hours of the Kreishaus on levels 3 to 9 until January 14, 2020.
