Israel's ambassador to Germany visits the Pedagogical-Cultural Center in Freudental: place of encounter and learning honored

The Ambassador of Israel to Germany, Ron Prosor, visited and paid tribute to the Pädagogisch-Kulturelle Centrum (PKC) Former Freudental Synagogue on Wednesday (November 6).

After being welcomed by District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier, 2nd PKC Chairman, 1st PKC Chairman Mayor Albrecht Dautel and Freudental's Mayor Alexander Fleig, Isolde Kufner and Hildegard Gooss, heads of the office, presented the house and its funding. The high-ranking diplomat was interested in the PKC's educational work, especially with Israeli groups and young people. Michael Volz, Head of Education and Culture at the PKC, then gave a guided tour of the former Freudental Synagogue and the Geniza exhibition. Prosor signed the PKC's guest book and described the location, the student exchanges and the partnership with the Upper Galilee as a "bridge for the future". Addressing the ambassador, District Administrator Allgaier said: "I am delighted that you are getting to know this place of encounter and learning, which offers a rich cultural and scientific program as well as learning opportunities for young people."

Ron Prosor has been Israel's ambassador to Germany since 2022. He sees the expansion of German-Israeli youth exchanges as one of his most important goals.
