Until July 19: Two closely linked exhibitions at the Kreishaus

In the exhibition series "Art in the District Hall", the Ludwigsburg District Office is showing two exhibitions that are linked to each other until July 19: "Pleinair in the partner district of Zwickau. At the invitation of the Ludwigsburg partner district of Zwickau, artists from the district of Zwickau and its other partner districts Darmstadt-Dieburg, Kulmbach, Lörrach and Ludwigsburg met in May 2018 to work together artistically. The venues for the Zwickau plein air were the prestigious Saxon Waldenburg Castle and the extensive English-style Grünfelder Park. Fifty-five works of painting and drawing were created, containing a variety of individual pictorial ideas based on motifs in the castle and park. Interesting and spectacular are the connections between seemingly disparate pictorial themes. Susanne Feix and Claus Staudt took part in the partner plein air in Saxony as representatives of the VBKW region of Ludwigsburg (VBKW stands for Verband bildender Künstler und Künstlerinnen Württemberg) and the district of Ludwigsburg. In addition to their exhibits within the plein air exhibition, they are showing a selection of more recent works.

Susanne Feix's artistic work is characterized by its versatility, spanning the two- and three-dimensional realm. Her objects made of glass, but also of other materials, deal with themes such as illusion, transience or time and space. In myths and stories - in Stories - the sculptor and painter Claus Staudt discovers the primary cultural life energy of human beings. He tells stories in drawings and sculptures that are conservatively figurative but newly realized.

The exhibitions can be seen in the Ludwigsburg Kreishaus, Hindenburgstraße 40. All those interested in art were welcome to attend the opening on Thursday, June 6, at 7 p.m. in the foyer of the Kreishaus. The opening was accompanied by music from the trio "Lorem Ipsum" with musicians Andy Schmitt, Giovanni Privitelli and Bodo Nassal. Prof. Dr. Helge Bathelt introduced the exhibition. An art tour with a performance by Claus Staudt will take place at the finissage on Thursday, July 18, at 6 pm. The meeting point is the Citizens' Information Desk in the foyer of the Kreishaus.

The opening hours of the Kreishaus and therefore of the exhibition are Monday to Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm, Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm and Friday from 8 am to 1 pm.
