Investment in security, orientation and functionality
The construction project is a targeted investment in the future viability of the Kreishaus. The previous entrance area no longer meets today's requirements in terms of security, visitor management and technical infrastructure in key areas. The renovation creates modern access structures and at the same time ensures higher security standards for guests and employees.
Replacement of outdated technology and modern security structure
At the heart of the work is the replacement of the previous revolving door with outdated technology with a modern vestibule solution with automatic sliding doors that meets current security requirements. In addition, a new workstation for the security service will be created directly in the entrance area to better manage visitor flows and implement security measures more efficiently. Modern digital information technology will also be installed so that visitors can find their way around the building more quickly and easily in future.
With the renovation, the district is investing around 550,000 euros in a necessary functional and safety-related renewal of the foyer and entrance area.
Interim solution during the construction phase
During the construction work, visitors will be able to enter via the side entrance at Hindenburgstraße 40, to the left of the main entrance, during regular opening hours. This entrance will also remain open for external guests during lunchtime. A security guard will be on site to ensure that visitors are guided in an orderly fashion.
