"We are pleased that we have finally reached an agreement. This will save people in the district months or even years of waiting," comments District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier on the agreement. "The solution that has now been found has the charm that we can now provide a quick and unbureaucratic remedy with the container exchange," adds Tilman Hepperle, Managing Director of Abfallverwertungsgesellschaft des Landkreises Ludwigsburg (AVL).
"The negotiations over the last few weeks have been extremely difficult due to the complex situation. Nevertheless, we have come to a good amicable solution and can now concentrate on our actual task: the household collection of packaging and other waste - which has always been particularly citizen-oriented in the district of Ludwigsburg," says Peter Kurz, Managing Director of KURZ Entsorgung GmbH.
"We are delighted that we have been able to make an important contribution to a sustainable solution that is geared towards the needs of consumers. The task now is to establish the new collection system in order to keep the valuable raw material used glass in the material cycle in the long term," emphasizes Daniel Berens, Managing Director of PreZero Service Süd.
Anyone who wants to have their glass box exchanged for a blue 120-liter bin can apply for this from 1 April onwards on the website www.verpackungsabfall-lb.de using a special form. Those who submit their application early, i.e. during April, should receive their new bins before the summer vacations if possible. However, the application deadline is even longer and does not end until June 15, 2022.
The reasons given on the website can be physical limitations, greater demand or other reasons that justify an exchange. In future, it will also be possible to form a bin pool with neighbors. For example, two households that currently each have a blue collection box will in future be able to share a 120-liter garbage can.
In these exceptional cases, anyone who does not have access to the Internet and is unable to get help from friends or acquaintances can also contact the AVL Service Center on 07141 144 2895.
