Residents who have already scheduled an appointment were notified of the closure via email. They are asked to cancel their appointment and schedule a new one at a later date.
Vehicle Registration Can Also Be Done Online
Many vehicle registration procedures can alternatively be conveniently completed from home via the internet-based vehicle registration system (i-Kfz). Through i-Kfz, you can, among other things, register vehicles, transfer ownership, deregister them, or change the owner’s address. Depending on the procedure, the vehicle may be used on public roads immediately afterward.

Urgent matters can be handled at other registration offices
In urgent cases, previously scheduled appointments can alternatively be kept at the branch offices in Besigheim or Gerlingen, as well as at the Ludwigsburg registration office.
However, staffing levels are currently limited at these locations as well. Therefore, even with a scheduled appointment, longer wait times may occur.
