To save energy: District office and its branch offices will be closed all day on October 31 and December 23

LUDWIGSBURG. The Ludwigsburg District Office and its branch offices will be closed all day on Monday, October 31 and Friday, December 23 to save energy. The District Office asks visitors to take these two closing days into account. "The two closure days will save around 14,400 kilowatt hours of electricity and 31,000 kilowatt hours of gas, thereby helping to tackle the current energy crisis. Our aim is to save what is feasible and manage the balancing act between savings and citizen service," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.

The district administration office is trying to save energy with a bundle of measures - in the buildings of the district administration office, for example, this involves reducing the lighting levels, reducing the duration of lights that switch off automatically and further converting the lighting to LED. Other measures include banning the heating of communal areas that are not used by people, lowering the office room temperature to a maximum of 19 degrees, banning additional electric heaters, switching off instantaneous water heaters or decentralized hot water tanks for hand basins, optimizing the settings of technical systems and regular tours of the technical rooms and buildings by janitors to implement and ensure the implementation of energy-saving measures.
