Registration for the “Streuobst 2026” soil sampling campaign is still open

Owners of orchard meadows in the district have the opportunity to submit soil samples from their orchard meadows to the Agriculture Department of the District Office from October 19 to 30, 2026.

The composition of the soil affects the quality of the orchard produce.

The basic nutrient analysis provides information on soil type, pH level, and phosphorus pentoxide, potassium oxide, and magnesium content. Participants are responsible for the cost of the basic nutrient analysis (16.50 euros net per sample). To learn more about the condition of the soil, a test to determine the humus content is commissioned for each sample submitted. These costs are covered by the Fruit and Horticulture Advisory Office of the District Administration. Farmers receive the results of the analyses directly from the laboratory.
