From September 9, 2024: Gerlingen branch goes cashless

Cash payments will no longer be possible at the Gerlingen branch from Monday, September 9, 2024. From this date, customers will only be able to use non-cash payment methods: All major cards will be accepted, including Girocard and credit cards.

Gerlingen is the first branch in the Ludwigsburg district to switch to exclusively cashless payments. The branch has now been chosen as a test location for this changeover. "The demand for non-cash payment options is growing all the time. We want to build on this and test how well the offer is received by our customers," says Jürgen Vogt, First State Official of the Ludwigsburg District Office.

This is because the ongoing digitalization of processes is also reflected in the payment options, Vogt continues.

Cash payments still possible in Ludwigsburg, Besigheim and Vaihingen

Customers who have already booked an appointment in Gerlingen after September 9, 2024 have already been informed about the change in payment options. In addition, notices on site indicate the changeover.

Cash payments will still be possible at the main branch at Hindenburgstraße 40 in Ludwigsburg and at the Besigheim and Vaihingen branches.
