While the out-of-town section between Hemmingen and Heimerdingen has been renovated in sections over the past few years, this year it is the turn of the last section of the L 1140, Hemminger Straße in Heimerdingen. The work will take around two weeks. The district is carrying out the renovation for the Stuttgart Regional Council.
The renovation section extends from the Hemminger / Feuerbacher Straße junction to the access road to the Max-Planck-Straße industrial estate. The Max-Planck-Straße industrial estate will be accessible from Hemmingen throughout the entire construction period. During the milling and asphalt work, traffic lights will be set up in the access area.
A full closure of the L 1140 is necessary for the renovation work. A local detour between Heimerdingen and Hemmingen is signposted via the K 1653 and K 1654.
The asphalt surface course will be renewed in the section between Rosenstraße and Max-Planck-Straße. A new binder course and a new surface course will be laid between the junction with Rosenstraße and Feuerbacher Straße. In addition, kerbstones will be renewed on behalf of the city of Ditzingen and some kerbs will be lowered.
The cost of the measure is around 350,000 euros.
The district administration asks all road users and residents for their understanding for the obstructions and restrictions caused by the renovation work.
