In the fall of 2019, the district's road builders had the district road between Vaihingen station and Illingen completely renovated. The road section had to be repaired because the road surface was badly damaged due to the high traffic load and the existing road structure was no longer able to cope with the current volume of traffic.
Due to technical defects, the road has since only been opened without road markings and with a 50 km/h speed limit.
From next Monday, June 7, the asphalt surface course will now be repaired again as part of the warranty and the technical defects will therefore be rectified. This work will be carried out under full road closure and will take about a week. A local detour will be signposted. The road can then be reopened to traffic without restrictions.
The district authority asks all road users for their understanding for the disruption caused.
