From April 3: Asphalt on district road 1679 in Kirchheim to be repaired

The district road 1679 (Hohensteiner Straße) between Strombergstraße at the western end of Kirchheim and Schillerplatz is being renovated. The base and surface courses of the asphalt will be renewed. Construction work will begin on Monday, April 3.

As part of the work, the municipality of Kirchheim is renovating the sidewalks and making the bus stops along Kirchheimer Straße barrier-free. Work is also being carried out for Stadtwerke Bietigheim-Bissingen and Telekom.

The work is being carried out in two construction phases in order to minimize the impact on local residents. The current construction phase is fully closed. Access to the fire station is possible at all times. A local detour has been set up between Kirchheim and Hohenstein via the L 2254 and Bönnigheim.

The bus will be diverted via Strombergstraße, Friedrichstraße and Heuchelbergstraße. Passengers are asked to inform themselves about any timetable changes.

The district is investing around 230,000 euros in this road construction work. The entire project should be completed by the end of June.

The district asks all road users and residents for their understanding for the obstructions and restrictions.
