In particular, the drainage situation is to be improved in the section between the access road to the sports field and the junction with Ludwig-Jahn-Straße towards the city center. A pendulum channel will be installed at the edge of the road here, allowing the water to drain away to the nearest road drain. The drainage situation will also be improved in other places where the water currently drains away poorly. The work is intended to improve road safety.
Large-scale measures are not possible on this section of road as part of the remaining work. The usability of the road is only slightly impaired at best and the laying of a new asphalt surface course would be so extensive that the contractor cannot be obliged to do so.
The remaining work will be carried out in sections in order to maintain the flow of traffic. A period of three weeks is planned for the implementation.
The district administration office asks all road users and residents for their understanding for the obstructions and restrictions.
