From August 22: Road builders renew the road surface of the Sersheim bypass and the Oberriexinger Straße traffic circle

The cracked and deformed road surface of the K 1683 (Sersheim bypass) and the Oberriexinger Straße traffic circle will be renewed by the district administration's road construction team from August 22 to September 6. This will require full road closures in two construction phases. Detour will be signposted. Bus services will also be affected during the second construction phase.

The first construction phase from August 22 to 27 extends from the Vaihinger Straße traffic circle to the Industriestraße junction. Sersheim will remain accessible via Industriestraße during the first construction phase. The second construction phase from August 28 to September 6 extends from the Industriestraße junction to the Oberriexinger Straße traffic circle. During the second construction phase, the first construction phase will remain closed, as will Industriestraße.

In the first construction phase, the detour will lead from Kleinglattbach via Vaihinger Str. (Sersheim), Industriestraße and Ludwigsegerte Straße to the K 1683 bypass. In the second construction phase, the detour will already be in place from Oberriexingen via the K 1639 to Großsachsenheim (Oberriexinger Straße, L1141). From there, the detour route leads via the L 1110 Sersheimer Straße and the L 1125 to Sersheim and on to Kleinglattbach. From the direction of Bietigheim, traffic will be diverted from the L 1125 to Großsachsenheim at the junction with Ludwigsburger Straße and onto the detour route described above.

Bus routes 578 and 566 will not be able to pass the closed Oberriexinger Straße traffic circle during the second construction phase. Passengers are asked to take note of any timetable changes in good time.

The district is investing around 430,000 euros in renewing the road surface and renovating the Oberriexinger Straße traffic circle.
