From March 21 until the end of the Easter vacations on Friday, April 5, the section of road in question will be closed to traffic coming from Ochsenbach. A local detour will be set up. In the opposite direction from Hohenhaslach to Ochsenbach, it is possible to drive on the country road with one-way traffic and at a speed of 30 km/h.
Major damage to the asphalt surface makes renovation necessary
During the construction work between Hohenhaslach and Ochsenbach last fall, major damage to the existing asphalt pavement was discovered, particularly at the junction of the L1110 and L1106. Over the winter, these damaged areas have increased in size, making it necessary to carry out major repairs to this 100-metre section.
The asphalt layers in this section of the L 1110 will therefore be milled off for most of the Easter vacations, damage to the frost protection layers underneath will be repaired and a new, quieter surface will then be laid. One side of the road will be closed for this work.
Up to and including the Easter weekend, traffic from Ochsenbach heading for Freudental or Horrheim will be diverted via Schäferstraße to Horrheimer Straße (L 1106) and redirected from there. Vehicles traveling to Ochsenbach will be diverted past the construction site in one-way traffic.
L 1110 Sachsenheim-Hohenhaslach fully closed from March 28 - detour set up
Once the asphalt base course has been completed on one side, traffic will be diverted onto the completed asphalt base course and the rehabilitation of the other side of the road will begin. From March 28, the entire section will be closed for approximately one week for the surfacing work. During this period, traffic will be diverted in both directions via Schäferstraße, and for large vehicles also via Aischbachstraße and Vaihinger Straße to the L 1110.
The district is implementing the measure for the state so that the section of road is restored to a good condition. The costs for the renovation amount to around 50,000 euros.
The district authority asks all road users for their understanding for any traffic obstructions, especially in the detour area.
