Improvements to school bus services between Remseck and Marbach am Neckar

Together with the responsible transport company Ludwigsburger Verkehrslinien (LVL), the district of Ludwigsburg has achieved improvements in school bus services between Remseck and Marbach. Due to timetable changes on route 451 at the turn of the year, however, the connection for pupils from Remseck who attend the Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium in Marbach has deteriorated during the first hour. To remedy this, adjustments will be made from March 2, 2020. The updated timetables will be available shortly in the VVS timetable information service.

The changed departure times at a glance: The departure of line 451 from Neckargröningen (Stadtbahn) at 6.36 a.m. will be delayed by ten minutes (new departure: 6.46 a.m.). As a result, the subsequent return journey from Marbach station will also start ten minutes later (new departure: 7.10 a.m.). At the same time, in order to stabilize the connection from Hochberg and Hochdorf, a bus that was previously used between Poppenweiler and Marbach will be used from Hochberg (Adlerplatz) (departure: 6.46 a.m.).

Background: With the commissioning of route bundle 7 ("Ludwigsburg" ) on January 1, 2020, timetable changes were implemented on route 451. The timetable was set so that line 451 in Neckargröningen makes connections to and from Waiblingen, Fellbach, Stuttgart and to the Remseck city transport buses ("Remsecker Stern"), while the S-Bahn connection to and from Backnang is made at Marbach station. However, these changes have affected school bus services between Remseck and Marbach.
