From May 10: Bridge structure over the Krebsbach to be renovated - full closure of the K 1642 between Häfnerhaslach and the district border necessary - six weeks construction time

The bridge structure over the Krebsbach in the course of the K 1642 will be renovated from May 10, requiring the complete closure of the K 1642 between Häfnerhaslach and the district border. Detour are signposted. The road builders from the district administration expect the construction work to take around six weeks.

A roadblock is featured with a red and white barrier, and a circular road sign indicating 'no entry.' There is a yellow sign pointing to the right labeled "Umleitung," which means "detour" in German. Several warning lights are positioned at the top of the barrier.

The bridge on the K 1642 between Häfnerhaslach and Sternenfels received the worst rating of all bridges in the district during the regular bridge inspection. The renovation is intended to rectify this and restore the bridge to a permanently safe condition. In this context, the district road in the surrounding area will be adapted. Among other things, the caps on the structure itself will be repaired. Most of the work will involve concrete work.

This requires the complete closure of the K 1642 between Häfnerhaslach and the district border. A local detour is signposted. The detour from Häfnerhaslach to Sternenfels is via the K 1643, which becomes the K 2062 in the district of Heilbronn. In Zaberfeld, the route will be diverted onto the L 1103 via Leonbronn.

Due to the narrow roads, lorries will be diverted more widely. In Ochsenbach, they will be routed via the L 1110 towards Eibesbach and Güglingen onto the L 1103 and via Pfaffenhofen and Weiler an der Zaber to Zaberfeld.

The work is scheduled to take six weeks. The road can be reopened to traffic in mid to late June.

The district has earmarked almost 200,000 euros for the project. Around half of this is being funded by the state from the municipal renovation fund for bridge structures.

The district authority asks all road users and residents for their understanding for the obstructions and restrictions.
