Around 1.3 km of the district road between the end of Hemmingen and the junction with the level crossing is being completely renovated. Most of the rehabilitation work is being carried out by paving and is urgently needed as the road is in a poor condition. It has numerous longitudinal and transverse cracks and some of the edges have broken off.
Traffic is being widely diverted from Eberdingen via the K 1687 in the direction of Hochdorf and from there via the L 1136 from the north to Hemmingen. From the direction of Heimerdingen, the detour is signposted via the L 1140. The K 1654 will be fully closed during the entire construction period from April 1. However, access to the Aussiedlerhöfe will be possible for local residents.
For the renovation of the junction area to the sports field, a diversion will be made within the town during the corresponding construction phase. The closure of this access road will last approximately one week and will be announced separately.
The district has allocated around half a million euros from the district road construction program for the work.
The district authority asks all road users for their understanding for any traffic obstructions, especially in the detour area.
