In view of such figures, any rant about "the youth of today" comes to a halt: 14 groups of young people from Ludwigsburg, Vaihingen, Ditzingen, Gerlingen, Remseck, Kornwestheim, Steinheim, Schwieberdingen, Großbottwar and Freiberg are setting out this year to make the world a little better as part of the "72 hours" campaign. Three other groups come from the Enzkreis district. Numerous project partners from the district, including Naturspielraum West, NaturInfoZentrum Ludwigsburg and CVJM Ludwigsburg, have come up with projects with which the young do-gooders will be confronted at the start of the campaign. "It is always impressive to see how the young participants get involved in their projects - and how much they ultimately achieve in three days," says Heiner Pfrommer, Head of Social Affairs at the Ludwigsburg District Office, in recognition of the participants' commitment.
The 72-hour campaign was carried out nationwide for the first time in 2013. It involved 115,000 children and young people, supported by 60,000 adults in 4,000 locations. Partnership groups in other countries also took part in the campaign, for example in Zambia and Peru. The campaign was also supported and accompanied by many celebrities from church and state.
Info: The 72-hour campaign starts on May 23, 2019 at 5:07 p.m. and ends on May 26, 2019 at 5:07 p.m. The kick-off event on Thursday begins at 3:07 p.m.
