The establishment of the school kindergarten in the district of Ludwigsburg was a hard-won achievement at the time, which was about the right to targeted support and education for children with disabilities, said Beck in her welcoming address. A lot has happened since the district council decided in 1968 to set up such a school kindergarten in the Ludwigsburg district. Today, there are many more opportunities open to children and the social framework conditions have adapted. "This is precisely why this pre-school facility has a great influence on the future of children," said Head of Finance Beck.
The Ludwigsburg-Hoheneck school kindergarten specializes in physical and motor development. Currently, 14 children are looked after by nine specialist teachers, two special school teachers and four support staff.
There are three other school kindergartens run by the district of Ludwigsburg: the school kindergarten at Fröbelschule with a focus on language support and the school kindergartens at Paul-Aldinger-Schule and Schule am Favoritepark, both with a focus on mental development. In total, there are 250 public and private school kindergartens in Baden-Württemberg, which look after almost 4,400 children.
