30 years of school partnership with the Corvin Mátyás High School in Budapest

The 30th anniversary of the school partnership between the two schools was celebrated on March 19 as part of this year's visit by the Hungarian student group from Corvin Mátyás High School to the Carl Schaefer School in the Ludwigsburg district.

Three individuals are standing together, holding a large jigsaw puzzle piece displaying a logo. They appear to be celebrating an event, with drinks in hand and a professional setting in the background. The mood is positive and collaborative.

30 years of school partnership

At the festive evening event in the auditorium of the Carl Schaefer School, head of the main office Hubert Burkart welcomed the participants and said: "This lively school partnership is an important part of the friendship between the people of the Ludwigsburg district and Hungary." Since 1994, there has been an annual exchange between the students of the technical high school of the Carl Schaefer School and the Corvin Mátyás High School. This year, 16 students and two teachers are taking part in the exchange. Once again this year, the Hungarian group of students was offered a varied program in the region: In addition to a welcome at the district administration office and various appointments at the school, excursions to the Mercedes-Benz Museum and the television tower in Stuttgart, as well as a visit to Ludwigsburg Castle, are also planned.

The Corvin Mátyás Grammar School comprises both a general and a technical grammar school. The first teacher contacts between the two schools were established in 1989/1990. Pupils from the CSS vocational college "Technology and Media" have been taking part since 2002 and pupils from the CSS technical vocational college I since 2009. The friendship between the district of Ludwigsburg and the province around the capital Budapest, Pest County, has existed since 1992.
