Roadworks in Marbach and Steinheim: traffic restrictions and detour

The start of the summer vacations also marks the start of a number of construction sites in the district: the construction of a new water pipe on the L 1100 state road will lead to traffic restrictions in the Eichgraben area in Marbach. Due to work on the sewer and on gas and water pipes in Steinheim, Marktstraße will be completely closed.

A roadblock is featured with a red and white barrier, and a circular road sign indicating 'no entry.' There is a yellow sign pointing to the right labeled "Umleitung," which means "detour" in German. Several warning lights are positioned at the top of the barrier.

Traffic on L 1100 will be regulated with traffic lights

The construction of a new water pipe in Marbach will lead to traffic restrictions on the L 1100 at Eichgraben from Sunday, August 3, 2025. In the first construction phase, which is expected to last one week, traffic will be regulated by traffic lights as only one lane will be available. Despite the summer vacation, road users must expect considerable delays. The other construction phases can be carried out with narrower lanes, so that the disruption will be reduced again. The construction project is expected to run until September 18, 2025.

Long-distance detour in Steinheim

In Marktstraße in Steinheim, work on the sewer and on the gas and water pipes will lead to a full closure between Kleinbottwarer Straße and Lammgasse from Monday, August 4, 2025. During the work, which is expected to last until the end of the summer vacations, traffic will be widely diverted via the B 328. The detour is signposted.
