Conversion work from November 7: Bus stops along district roads 1629 and 1630 in Bönnigheim become barrier-free

As part of the expansion program for barrier-free bus stops, the district is rebuilding the seven bus stops located outside of towns along the district roads K 1629 and K 1630 in the Bönnigheim district this year. The pedestrian guidance and footpaths are also being improved and the waiting areas repaved.

The stops are located on the K 1630 (both stops at Sonnenhalde and Hofen) and on the K 1629 (both stops at Aussiedlerhöfe and Schlossbergallee). In order to keep the restrictions for passengers as low as possible, replacement stops will be provided during the conversion work. Information on the exact locations of the replacement stops will be announced by the bus operator.

Construction work is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 7. The stops will be built by closing the adjacent lane in the area of the stop. During the construction period, traffic will be regulated by traffic lights so that the affected roads are always passable in both directions. The construction work will be completed by the end of November.

The district has earmarked around 300,000 euros for the project.

The district authority asks all road users and residents for their understanding for the obstructions and restrictions.
