The SCORA project(SCHOOLSOPPOSINGRACISMAND ANTISEMITISM) was launched in 2019 on the initiative of Claudia Rugart as head of schools at the Stuttgart Regional Council. One of the project's objectives was to establish new school partnerships between German and Israeli schools. Now the time had finally come. Representatives from 20 Israeli and German general and vocational schools met at the Landesakademie Esslingen to sign a Memorandum of Understanding. In her speech, District President Susanne Bay emphasized the importance of the Ludwigsburg district as the nucleus of the project. After all, the Ludwigsburg district office and the Upper Galilee have been partners for 25 years. In addition, five schools in the Ludwigsburg district have long-standing German-Israeli student exchanges. In this context, the Robert-Franck-Schule Ludwigsburg was included in the circle of SCORA partnerships as one of the original schools because it has been practicing an intensive student exchange with the Anne Frank School in the Upper Galilee for 28 years. Principal Wolfgang Ulshöfer has also been involved in the advisory board at the Stuttgart Regional Council since the start of the SCORA project. "Of course, we can already look back on many years of experience in student exchanges with Israel. However, I am sure that we can also gain valuable impetus for our own work through the network of 15 new schools," says Ulshöfer. Organizationally, the German-Israeli school partnerships are run under the name "SKORA twin". At the SCORA twin schools, the school management is also the project management. In addition, the school also has an impact on the school's environment. Consequently, the school authority is also involved in the project. Andreas Eschbach, Head of Department, therefore took part in the ceremony on behalf of the Ludwigsburg district school authority. There is also a network with a wide range of activities under "SCORA net". A meeting week with 400 young people from four countries is also planned for 2024 in Stuttgart. This program runs under the name "SCORA-meet".
