District Administrator Allgaier congratulates former District Councillor, Member of Parliament, Prime Minister and EU Commissioner Günther H. Oettinger on his 70th birthday on October 15

On his 70th birthday on Sunday (October 15), District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier congratulates the former District Councillor, Member of Parliament, Prime Minister and EU Commissioner Günther H. Oettinger with a letter.

It reads: "Even in your early days in politics, you were committed to the welfare of the Ludwigsburg district. As a member of the district council from 1979 to 1993, you primarily supported the hospital committee, the culture, school and European committee, the social committee and the youth welfare committee. As a district councillor and local councillor for the town of Ditzingen, the interests of our district municipalities were always a matter close to your heart."

Oettinger's commitment went far beyond the boundaries of the Ludwigsburg district

At the same time, the District Administrator continued, Oettinger's commitment as a member of the state parliament, Minister President and EU Commissioner went far beyond the boundaries of the Ludwigsburg district. Nevertheless, Oettinger had always remained connected to the district of Ludwigsburg as his home. This is also reflected in the award of the district's Medal of Merit in 1993 and the award of honorary citizenship of the town of Ditzingen in 2020.

In conclusion, District Administrator Allgaier wrote: "I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for your decades of tireless commitment to the district of Ludwigsburg, but also to the state of Baden-Württemberg and the European Union, and wish you a wonderful time on this special day."
