The county of Ludwigsburg and the town of Markgröningen are jointly responsible for the Helene-Lange-Gymnasium.
The continuation of the only secondary school with full-day operation in the region of Middle Neckar (Mittlerer Neckar) was secured with the establishment of the Helene-Lange-Gymnasium school association by the county of Ludwigsburg and the town of Markgröningen on 24 June 1988.
The school is a general education grammar school with a focus on music and the arts and provides full-day supervision.
