The Stromberg-Murrtal Cycle Path connects picturesque river valleys, idyllic half-timbered towns and wine villages, two nature parks and two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. From Karlsruhe to Gaildorf, the 150-kilometre route runs once across the "Ländle". The section in the county of Ludwigsburg will delight you with the picturesque old town in Bietigheim-Bissingen and with Schiller's legacy in the cultural city of Marbach am Neckar.

German Half-timbered Road - From the Neckar to the Black Forest and Lake Constance

The long-distance cycle path connects towns and communities with remarkable half-timbered buildings along the German Half-timbered Road. In the district of Ludwigsburg, a stage in the north leads via Bönnigheim, Kirchheim a.N., Walheim, Besigheim, Bietigheim-Bissingen and Vaihingen/Enz. From Bietigheim-Bissingen the eastern branch leads via Ingersheim, Freiberg a.N., Benningen, Marbach a.N. and Steinheim/Murr to the district border, while the western branch follows the river Enz and makes a detour from Unterriexingen to Markgröningen.
