The main task is to ensure the legality of administrative actions.
The municipal supervision team also advises and supports the municipalities in the field of public law, in particular municipal law, municipal economic law and tax law, and advises and supports the municipalities in a wide variety of areas in applications for state subsidies.
It performs tasks in the area of personnel law for the mayors.
In addition, the team of Municipal Supervision is a tendering and contracts complaints body in matters below the EU threshold and an appeals authority in matters not subject to directives.
