Personal - Ina Stiefelhagen

The Human Resources department looks after and advises around 2,200 employees of the district administration.

The employees in the personnel management department handle all matters relating to employment law. In addition to ensuring optimal and timely staffing of the departments, all personnel-related issues are handled here, from job advertisements to employment contracts, certificates, appointments, parental leave, caregiver leave, changes to and termination of employment, references, etc.

Payroll ensures timely payment of emoluments and salaries.

Training and development is incorporated into the Human Resources Development team. Here, the various training and internship positions are allocated, the annual internal training program and e-learning are planned and supervised, junior management development and career advancement training are organized and supervised, on- and offboarding is accompanied, and team and individual coaching sessions are planned.

The colleagues in the training and development team are also responsible for the training and career advancement program.

The colleagues in time recording ensure the proper booking of working hours, flextime and vacation as well as the supervision of applicant management.

The occupational health management team is responsible for occupational health and safety, health promotion with sports and health courses, as well as occupational integration management and company medical care.

Other tasks include personnel cost controlling, the staffing plan and participation in the Comparison Ring Organization/Personnel.

Collaboration with interest groups such as the Staff Council and the Severely Disabled Persons' Representative Council, as well as their proper participation in accordance with the State Staff Representation Act and SGB IX, is managed centrally by the Human Resources Department. There is also close cooperation with the Equal Opportunities Officer.

The company day-care centre "Schneckenhaus" also has its contact person in the Human Resources department.
