Fast Internet is and will remain an essential factor for society and the economy.
The goal of the county of Ludwigsburg is to create a resilient and sustainable broadband infrastructure in cooperation with the towns and municipalities. On 7 December 2018, the county council agreed the establishment of administrative union of County Broadband Ludwigsburg (Kreisbreitband Ludwigsburg (KBL)) and the county's membership of it.
In cooperation with the Stuttgart region, the counties of Böblingen, Esslingen, Göppingen and the Rems-Murr district, as well as the state capital Stuttgart, the county of Ludwigsburg has initiated a broadband project to advance the planning and construction of a backbone network. KBL joins Gigabit Region Stuttgart GmbH as a shareholder.
